A small publication for people who listen

Quiet Hours reviews audiobooks as audiobooks. A great novel can be a tiring listen, and an ordinary one can become a favourite in the right voice. We write about that difference.

Every review is based on a complete listen. We score narration and production separately from the book itself, and we say plainly when a recording did not work for us.

Publishers do not pay for coverage and do not see reviews before publication. The site is supported by affiliate links, explained in full on our affiliate disclosure page. Commissions never affect scores or what we choose to cover.
