What it is
Downpour, run by Blackstone Publishing, offers a monthly credit plan and short term rentals. Many purchased titles are DRM free.
Value
Rentals are a clever middle ground: cheaper than buying for books you will hear once.
Experience
The app and website feel dated, and the catalogue is smaller than the big players.
What we loved

- ✓Many DRM free titles
- ✓Cheaper credit
Worth knowing
- –Smaller catalogue
